In partnership with Save the Great South Bay environmental non-profit organization, the library presents the 1st installment of the Bay Friendly Yard Series: Three Essential Elements.  The typical suburban lawn is heavily reliant on fertilizers, pesticides, and huge amounts of water.  It's polluting, expensive, lifeless and tired.  Learn about the three essential elements of a Bay Friendly Yard instead.  Native plantings belong here.  They are less expensive to maintain.  They area beautiful - nature untouched.  They filter and clean the groundwater before it hits a creek or the bay.
